I love all things lemony and lemons really are a great ingredient to use in all kinds of recipes, sweet and savoury, and even as a cleaning ingredient as they are so good at removing grease. And they smell divine!
The average fruit contains about 3 tablespoons of juice. Allow lemons to come to room temperature before squeezing as this makes the juice easier to extract.
Fresh lemons kept in the fridge are best but the long life lemon juice is a very handy stand-by to have in your store cupboard for when you want to bake something quick.
