Flapjack Recipe

For this tasty flapjack recipe you will need ;

INGREDIENTS

450g/16oz rolled oats

350g/12oz butter

4tbsp golden syrup

175g/6oz soft brown sugar

175g/6oz muscovado sugar

3tbsp cocoa powder

METHOD

Preheat the oven to 140C, 275F, Gas 1.

Grease and line a shallow baking tray.

Melt the butter together with the syrup and both sugars in a large saucepan.

Add the oats and the cocoa powder and mix thoroughly.

Smooth the mixture evenly around the baking tray.

Bake for about 20 minutes in the centre of the oven.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool a little before cutting into squares.

Allow to cool completely and remove from the tray.

Store in an airtight container.
