This chocolate bread pudding recipe is real traditional comfort food and so easy to make ;
INGREDIENTS
10 slices of thick white bread
150g/5oz plain chocolate
425ml/14.5fl oz full fat milk
115g/4oz caster sugar
3 eggs
75g/2.5oz butter
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas 4.
Grease an ovenproof dish.
Remove the crusts from the bread and cut each slice into 4 triangles.
Melt the butter and chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water and stir well.
Whisk the eggs and add to the mixture.
Add the milk and the sugar and stir well.
Pour over the bread carefully making sure all the bread is coated.
Bake in the oven for around 30 minutes until the top is slightly crispy.
Serve with cream or ice cream.
Now you have a tasty chocolate bread pudding!
