Try making this old fashioned blancmange recipe, just like Grandma used to make.To create this recipe you will need ;
INGREDIENTS
570ml/1pint milk
40g/1.5oz caster sugar
15g/0.5oz butter
3tbsp cornflour
1tsp vanilla essence
50g/2oz plain chocolate
METHOD
Blend cornflour with a little of the milk to form a smooth paste.
Warm the rest of the milk, combine with the cornflour and return to the pan.
Break the chocolate into small pieces and add to the milk, stirring until the chocolate has melted.
Bring the mixture to the boil until it thickens and then turn the heat down and simmer for about 3 minutes.
Remove from the heat and stir in the butter, sugar and vanilla.
Pour into a 1 pint mould or dish.
Chill in the fridge until cold and firm.
Turn out onto a plate and serve.
